Mohammad Nabil Shaaban

I’m Associate Professor at Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Alexandria University, Egypt. My responsibilities are mentoring, training, teaching, and designing various courses, including Business Administration, Accounting Basics, Cost Accounting, Public Relations for Service Industry, Human Resources Management, Feasibility Study, International Hospitality Management, Marketing Research, Hotels and the Environment. I have supervised PhD and Master Theses; and conducted researches on human resources management, organizational behavior, and marketing, with the application on hospitality industry in Egypt, and in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. I have relevant practical experience, both in Egypt and overseas. I’m Deputy Manager of Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit and the Head of Internal Auditing Committee. I participated in preparing the faculty's strategic plan, mission and vision, managerial and follow-up tasks, setting up the filing system for the Unit, and preparing the faculty's final self-study and annual report for consecutive years. Since education is not anymore only concerned about delivering information and knowledge to students, I would consider myself a mentor, rather than just a university teacher; that is, I feel always responsible for my students’ wellbeing and advancement, encouraging their self-discretion and self-development, and paving any possible hardships that might face them.
