About the University:
Alexandria University is a public university in Alexandria, Egypt. Its history dates back to 1938, originally as a satellite campus of Fouad University (current Cairo University). It became independent in 1942, and received the name of Farouk University until the Egyptian Revolution of 1952, after which it was renamed University of Alexandria. It is now among the three largest universities in Egypt, together with Cairo University and the American University of Cairo.
