About the University:
Università degli Studi Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria was founded in 1968, which makes it one of the youngest universities in Italy. Three of its faculties (architecture, engineering, and agricultural science), are closely linked to the territory and the environment. The university was ranked first in south and insular Italy by Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore in 2012, and its school of architechture was ranked as one of the best in the country.
