About the University:
The University of São Paulo (USP) is a public university in the Brazilian state of São Paulo, and the largest in Brazil by student numbers. The university was founded in 1934, regrouping already existing schools in the state of São Paulo, such as a faculty of law, an engineering school, and the Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz. The university has subsequently created new departments in all areas of knowledge, becoming one of the largest universities in Latin America, with approximately 90,000 enrolled students across eleven campuses, four of them in the city of São Paulo. With 66 thousand full-time-equivalent students registered, more than five thousand FTE teachers, and a very high research output relative to its size, the university ranked 115th on QS Global Wold Ranking of Universities for 2021.
