Lorenzo Maria Dentici is a solicitor in Italy, where he is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court (Corte di Cassazione). He is also an adjunct professor of labour law at the University of Palermo, where he has taught labour law and EU employment law at undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level. He graduated in law from the University of Palermo, with an Erasmus term at the University of Aberdeen (Scotland), and a thesis on 'Gender equality in EU employment law'. He later obtained a Master in Comparative and European Law and a PhD in business law from the University of Palermo. In 2007 he became a tenured researcher at this university. He has been a Robert Schuman scholar at the European Parliament and visiting scholar at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies of the University of Oxford. He is the author of a book and a number of publications in the field of labour law and has been a member of national and international research groups in the field. He has been a visiting professor and guest speaker at conferences and training courses. He has always combined his academic commitment and professional activity, with particular attention to labour law, and is a member of Associazione Italiana di Diritto del Lavoro and Associazione Avvocati Giuslavoristi Italiani.
