About me:
I am a Professor of the Post-graduate Program in Human Movement Science and Physical Education graduate course at Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba/Methodist University of Piracicaba (Unimep). I work as a researcher in Leisure and Movement Pedagogy at Unimep and I coordinate the Group of Studies in Leisure, Body Practices and Culture (GELC). I am a member of the board directors of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) Council of Exercise and Sports Science (BRICSCESS) since 2017. I completed Masters Degree in Physical Education in 2003, and Doctoral Degree in Physical Education in 2008 (both at University State of Campinas/Brazil) with Sandwich Doctorate at the Technical University of Lisbon (Portugal). In 2008, I became Professor at Unimep. In 2018, I completed the Post-Doctorate studies in Communication by Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona/Spain). I am author of more than 200 published works, between books, papers, complete congress texts and abstracts. I have participated in several congresses as lecturer and oral presenter, in Brazil and other countries (Spain, France, Argentina, Ecuador, Portugal, South Africa, Czech Republic, United States of America). My main areas of study and research are: Leisure, Physical Education School, Body Practices, Games, Sports megaevents, all from a sociocultural reference. Currently, I have a research project funded by FAPESP Brazilian agency for basic education using an augmented reality application to create comic books for education for leisure.
My English level is intermediate. My Spanish is advanced with certificate by Instituto Cervantes/Brazil, level B2.
