Not really, because education is more a consequence than a cause of development.
Not as long as teachers and governments are sufficiently understanding to let those students graduate anyway.
On the contrary, the work experience these students will acquire will more than compensate their loss of education.
Only for lower levels of education and certainly not for university students.
