About the University: 

Universidad Católica de Colombia is a private university in Bogota, Colombia. It was founded in 1970 and its activities are distributed across four different sites in the city of Bogota. The university is organised into five faculties: law, business, engineering, design, and psychology. It had more than ten thousand students in September 2019, most of which where undergraduate (8,893), accross its eight bachelor's degree programmes in law, architecture, economics, psychology, industrial engineering, civil engineering, systems engineering and computing, and electronic engineering and telecommunications. It also had 1,655 graduate students across its 18 specialisation programmes, and 128 students in five master's degree programmes, in psychology, human rights and international humanitarian law, political science, sustainable design, and engineering and innovation management. Finally, it also had a doctoral programme in psychology.

With a medium research output relative to its size, QS University Rankings listed Universidad Católica de Colombia among the best 300 universities in Latin America in 2020. On 6 September 2019, the Colombian ministry of national education awarded this university the so-called 'high quality institutional accreditation', acknowledging a cumulated number of more than 63.746 graduates, a current number of 11,532 students distributed across 31 academic programmes, and 375 full-time teachers, 74 of which holding doctoral degrees, yielding a ratio of 31 students per teacher. As far as internationalisation is concerned, the accreditation report also mentioned 705 outgoing and 101 incoming student mobilities, as well as 365 incoming teacher mobilities.
