About the project: 

In conformity with the main objective of the Jean Monnet Action, namely to promote knowledge about European Integration, the University of Suceava, in cooperation with State University of Moldova and Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University will start to implement a new The Jean Monnet Chair: EU Crossing-Borders Integration - Legal and Economic Implications, within the existing Jean Monnet Center in European Integration Studies. The new Jean Monnet Chair is aimed at stimulating excellence in teaching, research and reflection in European integration studies (European Law and Economic Integration, in particularly) in higher education institutions within and outside the European Community, involving the creation of joint transnational activities and structural links with academic institutions in three countries (Eastern Europe Region).

The core objectives to be achieved. In this context we are intending to disseminate information through The Jean Monnet Chair: EU Crossing-Borders Integration - Legal and Economic Implications in the “Stefan cel Mare” University of Suceava, State University of Moldova and Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University at undergraduate/postgraduate/doctorate level and continuing education for adults, open to participation by civil society groups (legal activities) with support of Jean Monnet Center in European Integration Studies according to the following keywords: EU Law, EU Enlargement, EU-East-Central Europe, Europeanization, European Reform Treaty, European Union Institutions and Governance, The Protection of Human Rights, European foreign and security policy integration, European Policies. Our University, through the faculty of economics and law, has good experience on EU integration studies. We are preparing the application form in order to implement a permanent multidisciplinary teaching programme of studies concentrating entirely on European integration studies.
