About me:
Maurizio d'Amato is associate professor at DICATECh, Politecnico di Bari, where he teaches real estate and valuation. He completed his undergraduate work in economics at the University of Bari and worked in real estate finance for several banks (Bank of Rome, Bank of Salento, Micos - Mediobanca) before entering the doctoral program in Planning, specializing in valuation methods, at Politecnico di Bari. After completing this program, he served as a contract professor in real estate valuation for three years. During this time, he received research grants from the Italian Council of Research (CNR) for projects undertaken at the University of Florida in 1997, 1998, and 1999, and at the University of Alicante Spain in september 2000. He received the faculty appointment of Researcher at the Politecnico di Bari in 1999. and associate professor in 2005. He has been scientific director of the Real Estate Center of the Italian Association of Real Estate Counselors (AICI), as well as scientific director and founder of the Real Estate Market Observatory of Politecnico di Bari. He was appointed a fellow member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in June 2004 and certified as a European valuer in 2012.
