Aims and scope:
This two-semester course introduces students to the principal political institutions of the European Union (Commission, Council, Parliament, Court) and political questions (public opinion, interest groups, European elections). Next, it applies theories of the European Union to understand key steps in integration from the Treaty of Rome to the Treaty of Lisbon, before applying them to the current challenges of the Eurozone and migration.
