Aims and scope: 
The goal of this course is to introduce QMS, its principles and importance in all areas. The course aims to provide students with knowledge on three main aspects: 1. Basic knowledge of the process approach to quality management, structured overview of the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015. The center of gravity of the subject is the detailed interpretation of the various requirements of the standard. These requirements will be explained on practical applications derived from activities in the company. Special attention is paid to changes in the understanding of quality management as a result of the process approach, EFQM, Six sigma. 2. Structured overview of the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 19011: 2011. Detailed information on the planning and execution of audit by an effective method of controlling audit records and follow-up activities after the audit, information technology auditing and the role of the auditor, basics of communication for the anticipated conduct of the audit. The program focuses on the standards and their application in terms of audit planning and audit preparation, audit techniques and basic principles of communication. The program is supplemented by practical exercises and case studies. 3. Structured overview of the basic tools of QMS, the appropriate application of effective evaluation method and the most common pitfalls is encountered. In detail they will be discussed tools such as SPC, histogram, Ishikawa diagram, process capability, FMEA, MSA, etc. Furthermore, students will be introduced to real examples from practice and introduction to statistical processing of the results.
Topics: 
History of quality - development of approaches to quality. PDCA philosophy, TQM, Six sigma. Systems ISO standard 9001. Kinds of and types of audits and specification. Requirements for auditors. Policy for auditing quality management system according to ISO 19011: 2002. The role of statistical tools for quality control. Histograms, SPC, FMEA, QFD, PPAP, APQP, Process Capability, MSA analysis, including practical applications.
Indicative reading: 
ISO 9001:2008 standard. ISO 19011:2012 standard. Not mandatory - we will discus it during course.
